Building a Community of Respect

Roundtable   +   School Design   +   Everyone
Would you like to use the phrase "a community of respect" to describe your school? Is it difficult to find concrete ways to set a respectful and inclusive tone for your school? Have you ever experienced the feeling of joy that comes from belonging to a community where both students and teachers are members? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then join our discussion of strategies for building and maintaining a community of respect in schools. We will share ideas ranging from school design to student programs to individual behaviors. Using our combined experiences, participants will craft a rubric to help guide their school's tone in a meaningful way.
