Listening to the Students: Voice as a Vehicle for School Renewal


Workshop   +   Managing Whole School Change   +   High School
Through their affiliation with the National Center for Independent School Renewal (NCISR), Watkinson School, and Brimmer and May School have been working collaboratively toward school improvement for several years. Staff and students from these schools will share techniques and tools they have developed to access student voice and to incorporate it into the decision-making processes of the school. Participants will learn about student trustee involvement, town meetings, free speech boards, and student involvement in leadership and curriculum committees.
