Action Research: Inquiry in Action

Workshop   +   Cycle of Inquiry   +   Everyone
The first block of the day, you try an activity with your students that doesn't go very well. You note the problem, and quickly brainstorm ways to improve the activity as students switch blocks. You try the activity again during second block with the noted changes, and the activity is much more effective. We all do this. Teachers constantly try something, evaluate how it works, and make changes if necessary. This is a cycle of inquiry. This workshop will give you the tools you need to make your inquiry more deliberate. You will learn about the process of action research through hands-on activities and hear about others' experiences with this process.
