Respect Day: Bringing a School Community Together to Improve Mutual Respect |

| Mutual respect in our society and schools has recently become a rare commodity, but is still essential for success in learning. Steamboat Springs High School has been working for several years to improve the level of mutual respect between all members of our school community. Until this year, our efforts really did not make a difference for our school. This year we turned to Robert Chadwick and his facilitation strategies: 600 students, 60 staff members and 25 community representatives spent the entire day in the school's commons area talking about what respects feels like and how we can work together to make our school a more respectful place to work and learn. Participants will learn how the day unfolded, the results, and ways the process can be replicated. |
