| Workshop + Community Connections + Elementary School |
| Our school-community connection has existed for many years as a successful model for raising student achievement in many areas. It prepares students for the world of real work and ideas. It fosters empowered participation in students' communities and in their lives. This is a team-building catalyst and working model of community independence. By setting up the classroom so that community members can work with interested groups of students, in-depth focus occurs. The expertise of community members in a variety of curricula make accessible topics and interests that are not normally available to students. |
