| Workshop + Assessment + High School |
| Participants will view effective assessments for French I-IV, accompanying scoring rubrics, and samples of student work kept in portfolios. Scoring rubrics will be discussed as a strategy for increasing the quality of student work. Portfolios will be discussed as a means of showcasing students' progress. Computer technology will be examined as a means to support the quality of student work. Participants will be given the opportunity to create and design an alternative assessment in a modern language and an accompanying scoring rubric for immediate use in the classroom. |
