| The O'Farrell Dream Team is a coalition of staff members committed to the academic and social-emotional education of 1,500 middle school students in San Diego. The structure in which we accomplish this feat stems from our restructuring; we operate in EDUCATIONAL FAMILIES. This allows for a great deal of flexibility and feeds the needs of our students who crave "connectedness". This is a teacher-governed school (prior to becoming a charter); consequently, the responsibilites of a Family is great. This workshop will dive into the nuts and bolts of our school and the ways we serve students' needs. Come hear about the different methods we used to create a culture and structure best for student success. Discussion and resources promised to participants! |
