A Tale of Two Service Learning Leader Schools: Building Civic Responsibility and Citizenship One Student at a Time

Workshop   +   Community Connections   +   Everyone
Workshop participants can expect to be engaged in active learning, discover the rationale for using service as a tool to increase academic and social achievement, and if already using service, learn how to deepen and broaden their programs. Participants will also have the opportunity to discover that service learning is not a trend that will increase their workload; rather, it is an academic approach incorporating CES principles that will lead to student and school success. This session will be enhanced by two student presenters from each school.
Presenters: Kim Huseman, Lawrence Kohn, Bridget Herrman, Neal Randol
Date: Friday 1:30pm -  3:30pm   Room: Conv Ctr 552A   Event #159
