Heterogeneity in the Math Classroom |
| Roundtable + School Design + High School |
| In this roundtable discussion we will deal with the challenges of teaching a heterogeneous math class. The leader will provide an introduction of strategies used at School One in Providence, RI. Specific curriculum developed by the staff at School One will be used as examples, with handouts for participants. A discussion will follow based on such perennial questions as "How do we develop a curriculum that is challenging and engaging to all skill levels?" or "How do we create a positive learning environment based on differing skill levels without taking advantage of or shortchanging the more able students?" |
