CES Leadership: When to Push, Pull, or Reach Just beyond Your Grasp
Facilitator(s): Michael Routa

Workshop   +   Leadership: change process   +   Everyone
Leadership in a Coalition school is often dependent on the personality of the leader. Important decisions that leaders face are often a question of timing: when to push for ideas in a school setting, when to pull the staff through discussions of hard topics, and when to lead by reaching for ideas that seem just out of grasp. This interactive workshop will ask participants to engage in a conversation about leadership as a strategic process. Some specific skills from a group leadership model will be shared as part this workshop. Participants will be asked to meet in small groups to share situations in which it is useful to apply leadership skills, and will leave the workshop with strategies to implement their ideas.
