How to Document What Kids Can Do

Even the most exciting work with students often fails to gain public attention because it is not documented successfully. What Kids Can Do (WKCD), a national nonprofit organization specializing in making public the powerful learning of adolescents, will share its methods in this workshop. Working with information from their own projects, participants will learn how to put together a compelling but succinct package that includes task descriptions, expectations and assessment tools, student work in stages, supporting information, internal and external assessments, and reflections. We will also discuss strategies for making the work available in an accessible form to outsiders, insiders, funders, and other audiences.
