Advantage Advisory: Personalizing Learning for Students and Educators
Facilitator(s): Dr. Lawrence Kohn, Kim Huseman, Kim Canales

Workshop   +   School Design: structures   +   High School
"Students don't want to know how much you know, they want to know how much you care." How can we allow students to feel like citizens in their schools rather than tourists? How can we allow teachers to grow through their relationships with students? This workshop will allow participants to experience the advisory format firsthand from multiple perspectives, including the student and facilitator viewpoints. Participants will leave with knowledge, experience, and a booklet of advisory activities that will give them strategies to personalize learning for both students and educators.
Date/Time: Friday, 8:00am - 10:00am   Room: CC 616   Session #39
