Student-Led Conferences
Facilitator(s): Susan DeCosta

Roundtable   +   Community Connections: parent involvement   +   High School
How does a high school get 760 students, a teaching staff of 70, and students' parents ready to participate in student-led conferences? This past school year, Leavitt Area High School developed a program aimed at increasing parental participation in conferences, giving students more responsibility in the learning process, and improving the quality of educational conversations in our school. The outcomes were outstanding. In this session, we will share our story of this positive change and provide participants with a how-to guide and materials for implementing this program in your school.
Date/Time: Saturday, 9:15am - 10:15am   Room: CC 304   Session #381
