| Workshop + School Design: teacher collaboration & learning + Everyone |
| Teachers and administrators in CES schools are examining school and classroom practices, and as a result are making major philosophical and behavioral shifts to move from teacher-centered to more student-centered learning environments. As school staff at Trenton Central High School begin to create inquiry-driven classrooms and professional development experiences organized around essential questions, they begin to create the kind of conditions that encourage teachers, as well as students, to take responsibility for their own learning. Reflective practice, teacher research, and collaborative meaning-making are shown to be the necessary tools to catalyze and sustain school change efforts. |
