Peer Coaching to Improve Learning in the Elementary Classroom
Facilitator(s): Susan Syers

Roundtable   +   Classroom Practice: curriculum & instruction   +   Elementary School
How can you improve your teaching and student learning in just ten minutes a day? This roundtable discussion will enable you to conduct informal research with a peer coach in your classroom. A five-step process which pairs of teachers can use to collaborate will be examined. This simple process can be easily implemented on return to your classroom. The elementary classroom perspective will be shared; we will discuss how this process can be used to improve student achievement in reading and math, and how it can be used to address issues of equity or higher-level questioning strategies.
