Critical Friends Groups: Taking It to the Classroom!
Facilitator(s): Ellen Hare

Roundtable   +   Classroom Practice: curriculum & instruction   +   Everyone
Teachers of today need multiple ways to grab the attention of students and to focus that attention on learning. Teachers must also be willing to apply tools and techniques from any source in helping students learn to use their minds well. To that end, we must explore any method that will provide a possible resource. This roundtable will help us explore and apply methods by engaging participants in discussion of the essential question, "How can teachers transfer the CFG tools and methods to classroom teaching and learning?" Facilitators will share the strategies and methods they have learned and used from CFGs to help students develop learning; we will also seek to elicit accounts of classroom experiences from participants.
Date/Time: Friday, 8:00am - 9:00am   Room: Sheraton 428   Session #231
