Establishing a Process for Continuous Improvement: Creating "Breaking Ranks" Networks to Support Principals
Facilitator(s): Patti Smith, Robert McCarthy, Peter Lueke

Workshop   +   Leadership: change process   +   High School
This presentation will connect the importance of support networks for school principals with the change process in schools involved in the Breaking Ranks project. We will model practices that principals can use in working with colleagues for the purpose of sharing the tough job of the principalship. Focusing on the need for collaboration at the building level, this workshop will demonstrate the importance of collaborative work by having principals engage in dialogue about common school change issues. Participants will leave the workshop with concrete ideas for establishing a local principals network.
