| Workshop + School Design: teacher collaboration & learning + Everyone |
| Many schools have, as a part of their mission statements, the phrase "to create lifelong learners." While we educators want to make our students lifelong learners, do we make our learning a part of our everyday work? This workshop will explore ways to use Critical Friends Groups to create rich learning communities for students, teachers and principals. Facilitators will share ways to sustain existing CFGs while pushing members to discuss tough issues of accountability and student achievement. Other topics include ways to involve principals in CFGs and how to increase membership. Participants will also receieve a toolbox of articles, activities, and strategies. |
